Giving

Now more than ever, kids and families are turning to the YMCA for assistance. Support in the fight against obesity and illiteracy, childcare assistance, and providing a place for kids of all ages to play are just a few of the many ways the YMCA helps families. No matter the reason, Y services and programs are available to people of all ages and physical ability, regardless of their ability to pay. The Y has always helped families and children access the Y’s facilities and programs but now more than ever, families are requesting financial assistance during these troubled economic times.

The YMCA Partner with Youth campaign allows the Y to provide that financial assistance and subsidize costs for youth programs throughout the year. All of the money raised during the campaign goes to help strengthen families in our community. In 2008, Members, volunteers, area businesses and staff members donated more than $329,000 to the Partner with Youth campaign that provided nearly 8,000 individuals the opportunity to receive some type of scholarship assistance for memberships and programs. This represents a 62% increase over the previous year!

This year, we raised our goal to $400,000 because now more than ever, children and families need the YMCA. We invite you to donate to the Partner with Youth campaign so that all kids and families in our community can experience the YMCA.
